Please read pre-treatment information below to ensure you're suitable to have permanent makeup. Please contact us to discuss any potential contraindictations

Medication

  • Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen for 72 hours prior to your procedure. Paracetamol is fine. Do not discontinue necessary medications without consulting your Dr first.

  • Accutane. You have to be off Accutane for 1 year.

Exercise and Lifestyle

  • Do not work out the day of the procedure as the body heat expands the pores.

  • Do not have a strong tan or sunburn on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate taking colour with it as it fades. If you attend your appointment with sunburn, you will be required to reschedule and your deposit will be forfeited.

  • Do not have any chemical peels, microdermabrasions, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.

  • Wash your hair before the procedure

  • If you get your eyebrows waxed, threaded, or tinted, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least 14 days to have them waxed or threaded & 30 days for tinting after the procedure.

  • If you are used to getting your brows tinted, do at least 1 week prior to the permanent makeup procedure.

  • Do not tan or sun bathe 30 days before and after the procedure.

Menstrual Cycle

  • Schedule your treatment so that you are not on your menstrual cycle. Getting a treatment while on your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the site being treated.

Skin Blemishes

  • If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind, moles or other skin imperfections in or around the area of the procedure, we will NOT be able to do the procedure until the blemish or area of concern is gone. Please note we can work around moles but cannot work on top of them

Skin Types

  • Oily Skin – If you have very oily skin, your results WILL appear softer in appearance and may require additional procedures.

  • Dark Skin – Darker skin types please note that your permanent makeup will not appear as bold as lighter skin types, it will still look beautiful & natural.

Important information to consider
After your procedure you will receive a detailed Aftercare sheet, which will be explained to you, one important point to plan for & be aware of is;

  • WHILE YOUR SKIN HEALS, BE PREPARED FOR THE COLOUR INTENSITY TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY GREATER, SHARPER, BRIGHTER, OR DARKER than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and your cell turnover rate. So please do not plan any important events during the healing time.

  • MRI Scans: this procedure shows as an artifact on the scan. Some clients may experience a tingling sensation. Please notify your radiologist of your treatment.

  • Giving blood: the Red Cross have suggested that you do not give blood for 6 months after treatment.

  • Please inform your practitioner if you plan to go on any sun/water holidays following your procedure, so bookings can be made at appropriate timescales and advice given.

  • Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
